Big news for those looking to build a brand new home at Parkview, Ferndale.
The Federal Government is offering a stimulus package to support the housing industry, which includes the Homebuilder program. At the center of the program is a $25,000 grant to owner-occupiers building a new home where the contract is entered into from 4 June until 31 December 2020.
To access HomeBuilder, owner-occupiers must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Construction of the new home must commence within three months of the contract date
- Income thresholds to receive this grant is $125,000 for singles, or $200,000 for couples
- You are an Australian citizen, over 18 and are a natural born person
The Western Australian State Government is also offering $20,000 Building Bonus grants for any Western Australia to build a new house. Unlike the Federal Government grant this State Government grant is also not limited to owner-occupiers, with investors also eligible for the grant. This grant will also be available until the end of the year, and will not be means tested and have no cap on property value.
This will be on top of the Federal Government's HomeBuilder Grants, as well as WA’s First Home Owner Grant of $10,000 and first home buyer duty concession.
